Bonnie How, Senior Pastor - Bonnie is a proud Canadian who grew up in Southern Alberta, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. She and her husband, Mark, made their way to Austin in 2006, where Bonnie continued her theological education at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary before eventually graduating from Iliff School of Theology in 2017. She has served in a variety of roles within the church including women’s ministry, youth and education, and outreach. Bonnie directed the youth program at Cedar Park First UMC for five years before serving as their Associate Pastor for the past three.
Her peaceful, fun spirit brings life and energy to church communities. Bonnie is passionate about connecting people, saying, “When we share our stories, God reveals God’s self more clearly.” She and her husband Mark have three college-age children.
Jo Kretzler, Associate Pastor - Jo grew up in Manchester in the north of England where she attended the Hulme Grammar School For Girls. Jo was involved with the Methodist Association of Youth Groups (MAYC) and was a youth leader at Saint Paul’s Methodist Church, Shaw, England. She majored in fine art at Oldham College of Art and later studied Architectural Design at the University of Teesside.
Upon moving to Texas, she and her husband Randal ran a design consultancy working for many clients within the fitness industry. Jo was one of the founding members of Gateway Church, a non-denominational church here in Austin and spent many years in leadership there. She worked mostly with the women’s ministry, providing pastoral counseling to couples, and teaching.
Jo is a MDiv. graduate of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a commissioned Deacon within the United Methodist Church. Jo and Randal have two daughters.
Adam Roberts, Music Director - Adam has served as musical director with churches in Ohio, Florida and Texas, and he couldn't be happier to be part of the St. Luke team! When not at St. Luke, you can find him on the Dell Jewish Community Campus, where he is artistic director of the Austin Jewish Repertory Theater, at the Long Center for the Performing Arts where he conducts the Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards and coaches prospective college musical theatre majors, or instructing both beginners and professionals in musical theatre performance at the State School of Acting. He's also artistic director of The Final Acts Project, an organization that utilizes the arts to facilitate end-of-life conversations, and a conductor and director of musical theatre around the city. Austin Ford Taylor, Contemporary Service Worship Leader - Austin is a native of the suburbs of Dallas, Texas (Plano, to be specific) and is a recent graduate of the University of Texas. He has led worship for the past 7 years, primarily at St. Andrew UMC in Plano, and is currently the Worship Director for the Texas Wesley, a campus ministry at UT Austin. The call to worship is one of Austin's greatest passions, along with college football Saturday afternoons and scoping out any of Austin's great restaurants with his friends.
